He was a fundamental piece of Mexico National Team but was drunk during El Tri camps
He's not the first individual from Mexico National Team to be exposed.
In recent years, Mexico National Team performances have been underwhelming at times, especially as players and coaches seem to not care what happens in the pitch and are more worried about sponsorships and social media.
But some of them have also been involved in various scandals, mainly related to parties and alcohol, as different players have been exposed and even vetoed from El Tri, something that became regular after the 2010 party El Tri players had in their hotel after a game against Colombia.
But recently, sports journalist Carlos Albert told in an interview that former coach Juan Carlos Osorio was also one of Mexico National Team individuals that was drunk during training sessions or even press conferences, something he realized after having a confrontation with the Colombian coach during one of said press conferences.
Juan Carlos Osorio’s stint with El Tri
Osorio became Mexico National Team coach in 2015, for the Qualifier games for 2018 FIFA World Cup, where he signed a 3-year contract. It was reported that he earned $1.2 million per year. During his stint, El Tri suffered the infamous 7-0 loss against Chile during Copa America Centenario.
