The striker began his career in Atlético de Madrid's youth academy, where he shared his first experiences with players such as David de Gea and Koke. He then moved to Getafe and a year later joined the youth academy of Real Madrid FC.

On August 15, 2010, he made his debut with the first team, Real Madrid Castilla C. F. in a friendly against A. D. Alcorcón, scoring the only goal of the game. He debuted with the Real Madrid senior team on December 12, 2010, at La Romareda against Real Zaragoza. Although he had previously made his debut against Club America in the preseason tour of the United States replacing Cristiano Ronaldo on August 5 of the same year.

On July 4, 2012, he signed a contract with the first team of Real Madrid FC, giving him the dorsal number 21, and he will be under the orders of José Mourinho from the 2012-13 season onwards.

The Spaniard then signed for Juventus in 2014 and played for two years with the Italian club until he returned to Real Madrid in 2016 due to a buy-back option. In 2016 with Los Merengues, he won La Liga and the Champions League.

In 2017 Chelsea signed the Spaniard and he played two seasons at the London club where he did not do well at all. In his first year, he was under the orders of Conte and the second of Sarri. He went on loan in 2019 to Atletico Madrid in 2019 and in 2020 the Colchoneros exercised the option to buy.

He eventually returned to Juventus on loan to play for the Turin team. The Spaniard decided to lower his salary in order to play for the Bianconeri. He currently has 8 goals and 5 assists for the Italians.

How many millions does Morata earn at Juventus?

The player agreed to reduce his salary from 9 million euros to five million euros (which would remain with bonuses and additional bonuses at around 7.5 kilos per year) in order to be able to play for Juventus this season.

The Madrid-born player is also taking advantage of the fact that the tax laws in Italy are not as harsh as in Spain with footballers and for this reason he agreed to take a good part of his salary off since he would pay less to the Italian tax authorities and can pocket almost the same amount as he did at Atletico despite reducing his salary by almost half.
