In recent years, Tigres UANL got used to making large contracts that break the market. Currently, the Frenchman Florian Thauvin was assured, who this Friday was made official as a reinforcement of the team. At a press conference, the former Olympique Marseille confessed that he wants to imitate what André-Pierre Gignac achieved, although he said he knew that the forward is a legend with the cats, so he has a lot to work on to achieve it.

 

"I will try to do the same things as Gignac, but he is a legend in Mexico, I have a lot of work to do to be like him; Gignac will help me and give me advice to be the best possible and adapt quickly," he began by saying the French player.

Florian Thauvin said that now he will seek a good performance in the Mexican team, to help him return to the national team, with which he was crowned in the last World Cup Russia 2018.

"It's a objective for me to return to the French national team. It's difficult because the national team includes the best players in the world, but I went to the national team in previous years and I'm here to return to the national team; it may be, I have to work a lot, but it's a objective for me", added the player during his official presentation.

In 2010 he made his French Ligue 2 debut with Grenoble. A season later, Bastia hired him and played two seasons in Ligue 1. His good present led to him being transferred to Olympique Marseille, one of the most important teams in France. He emigrated to Newcastle, where he spent a year returning from 2015 to Olympique Marseille, a club where he remained until the moment of his transfer.
