The 36-year-old Portuguese surpassed Sergio Ramos, who had 180 matches played with the Spain shirt, and became the European with the most matches played in his national team.

Cristiano Ronaldo continues breakin records wherever he stands and has now managed to become the player with the most matches at the national team level, after seeing activity in Portugal vs Qatar, where he even scored a goal.

Through his networks, the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo celebrated this new mark in his career with an emotional message in which he boasted the two titles he has achieved with the Portugal National Team, the Eurocup and the UEFA Nations League. In addition, Cristiano Ronaldo also celebrated having marked 46 different teams throughout his career, a mark that he assured he did not even dream of being able to achieve in his early days.

“Records are always outstanding, but those that fall at the service of our team acquire a special dimension. 181 matches with the quinas jersey are 181 reasons to be proud of! And scoring against 46 different countries is something I never thought was possible. Let's not stop here, let's fight for more! Force Portugal!", he commented on his post.
