And although he already has some offers, according to reports, as he’s been linked to a few Mexican teams, especially in Liga de Expansión, Mexico’s second division, the truth is that Peña might not play this semester, as Liga MX is already about to start its third round for Clausura 2022.

Although he could return to El Salvador too, where he was champion a year ago, “Gullit” Peña has decided to prepare himself if he doesn’t find a club to play for Clausura 2022, as he started his own shoe company and already promoted it on social media.

The president of Antigua also cleared that the reasons Peña left the team were economical, as the club couldn’t afford keep paying him, as he was the most expensive player on the roster, and not because problems out of the pitch.
