Tonight Leon and America close week 14 of the Liga MX in what may be the most important game of the 2020 Torneo Apertura, since there are only three games remaining. León leads with 30 points and America is in fifth position with 25. Among them are Pumas with 27 points, Tigres and Cruz Azul with 26.

If any ingredient is missing from the duel that León and América will hold tonight, at the Victoria de Aguscalientes stadium, statistics are in charge of granting it: the best offensive will be face to face against the best defense of the Liga MX Guardians 2020. And is that America is the club that converts the most goals while Leon is the one that receives the fewest goals.

The Águilas Doradas - nickname of America - have a total of 24 goals scored in 13 games -almost two goals per game-. This mark was reached by Pumas and Tigres las night, but America has one game less than them. On the other hand Leon is the 7th highest scoring team with 18 goals, but their lack of effectiveness in offense is repaired by being the team with the fewest goals conceded: only 8 goals in thirteen games. Thanks to the great defensive work Leon is at the top of the Mexican league with 30 points and only one game lost in the tournament.

America's top scorer is the Uruguayan Federico Viñas, with six goals, followed by Henry Martín, with five. For the Panzas Verdes - nickname of Leon -, the Ecuadorian Ángel Mena is the player with the most goals scored with a total of six. As far as defense is concerned, the difference between one squad and another is remarcable: León is the team with the least thrashed in the tournament with a total of eight goals received, while America has received more than the double, with 17.

The meeting between Leon and America for the fourteenth week of the Mexican league will take place in Victoria de Aguscalientes stadium tonight at 00:00 Washington DC time, District of Columbia (11:00pm local time). Leon has 9 games won, 3 tied and 1 lost while America has 7 games won, 4 tied and 2 lost. If America wins, they will be second with 28 points, just two points behind Leon, with three games remaining.
