Zinedine Zidane prefers Federico Valverde over Toni Kroos. That's crystal clear. Th Uruguayan that cam through the Real's academy is one of the owners of thee midfield of the team, and has sent Kroos to the bench. The return of Zidane to the Casa Blanca hasn't changed that. In fact, it has confirmed.

It's weird, though. Kroos was one of the favorite players of Zidane during his first experience as coach of the club. But years have passed and it's true that Kroos has lowered his game level. In fact, he has lost his place as a starter in Germany to players like Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka or Ilkay Gündogan.

Kroos possibilities at Real Madrid has decreased so much that the playmaker is seriously considering to leave the club. Although his contract expires in 2023, and his release clause is high, the midfielder will explore new chances of leaving Spain before. He is thinking about a transfer to England, which teams are able to afford expensive players like him.

Kroos could try to imitate his former teammate at the German national team, Mesut Ozil, who leave Real Madrid in 2013 to join Arsenal FC. In fact, it's even possible that Kroos replace Ozil at that same club, because Arsenal and Ozil are very close to finalize a deal to send Ozil away from London, which would unleash many cap space to sign new players. And Kroos seems to be just thee exact player Mikel Arteta would like on his squad.
