Tigres arrived to the game against FC Juárez holding a five-game-winning streak and convinced the could clinched their Quarter Finals spot. They couldn't, and just were able to attempt to a 1-1 draw at Estado Universitario. Now, if Cruz Azul or Pumas UNAM win their respective games, they will surprise them.

It's clear that this was a game that Tigres needed to win. Even more, because they faced a minor rival after having defeated very tough teams like Cruz Azul or local rivals Monterrey. This is why coach Ricardo Tuca Ferreti is really mad with his players, and specially with one of them.

Coach expect much more form Chilean Eduardo Vargas. The Turbo has been for long one of the favorite players of Tuca Ferreti, but since the arrival of Uruguayan Nicolás López Vargas has lost importance within the team, and specially he has lost his spot at the starting line up.

Moreover, the other Uruguayan, resent signing Leonardo Fernánez has stablished himself at the starting team. Vargas was sent to the field on the second half yesterday, and missed some good chances. He needs to find his pace back, because his contract is one of the biggest ones in Tigres, and if he doesn't start delivering goals he could be transferred soon.
