Chelsea proved too strong for their fellow London club Tottenham as the Blues had a convincing 3-0 win in their third London derby of the season. New striker Romelu Lukaku failed to score in the match as Chelsea scored goals through unlikely sources.

After a difficult first half, Thomas Tuchel brought on N'golo Kanté who immediately changed the rhythm of the game for Chelsea. Brazilian defender Thiago Silva, 36, opened the scoring with a header from a Marcos Alonso corner before N'golo Kanté added the second from an outside the box shot. German defender Antonio Rudiger added the third in the added minute of extra time.

Chelsea moved joint top of the table with Liverpool, whom they've shared a similar number of wins, draws, goals scored, goals conceded and points with this season. The only draw the two teams have produced this season have been against each other, they've won other matches to have the same points at the top of the table.

Chelsea's next game is against Manchester City, the team they beat to win the UEFA Champions League in May. Chelsea have also beaten Manchester City in the league and in the FA Cup since Thomas Tuchel took over. Pep Guardiola will hope to get his first win over Tuchel as Chelsea boss.
