The answer is held by Javier Tebas, the president of La Liga, who upon learning that the Paris Saint-Germain player was going to confirm his stay in the Parisian team, launched a tweet in which he made a strong accusation.

La Liga to sue PSG over Kylian Mbappé's renewal

In the tweet, the manager said that the player's renewal with his team was a practice that jeopardized the sporting Fair Play and that Al-Khelafi is as dangerous as Super League.

The manager later said he will sue the team before UEFA, the competent bodies of the European Union, and the administrative and fiscal authorities of France, to defend "the economic ecosystem of European soccer and its sustainability".

According to Tebas, it is not fair that a club like Paris Saint-Germain can renew Kylian Mbappé with such high figures, after having presented negative economic numbers in recent months.

According to Tebas: "It is scandalous that a club like PSG, which last season lost more than 220 million euros, after accumulating losses of 700 million euros in recent seasons (even declaring income from sponsorships of very dubious amount) with a cost of sports staff around 650 million for this season 21/22, can face an agreement of these characteristics while those clubs that could assume the arrival of the player without seeing their wage bill compromised, remain unable to sign him".

However, this is not the only time that the Parisian team has faced these accusations, as in the past the same thing happened when they signed Lionel Messi, and although at the time the club faced sanctions, these were withdrawn shortly after without explanation.

Did the Parisians play dirty?

Everything would indicate that yes, due to the numbers handled by Javier Tebas, the president of La Liga, who claims that PSG would be violating one of the most important rules of Fair Play that UEFA has sought to impose on the teams of its confederation.

This rule is the one that mentions that the clubs' wage bill cannot exceed 70% of the institution's revenue, and according to Tebas' numbers, PSG has 700 million euros in losses, and its wage bill adds up to 600 million euros.

However, it is still necessary for La Liga to file the lawsuit, to hear the version of Paris Saint-Germain, which today renewed Kylian Mbappé, in a deal that the media have labeled with a value of more than 400 million euros.
