La Liga president Javier Tebas has never been a fan of the European Super League despite having three teams from his league involved in the initial proposal of the European Super League and still having Barcelona and Real Madrid involved.

Early this year when the news of the Super League first started making rounds, Tebas said it is not financially feasible and whoever thinks it is doesn't understand the business of football, an indirect aim at Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.

Tebas is in the news again after criticising the European heavyweights who are owned and backed by oil-rich owners namely PSG and Manchester City by accusing them of committing financial doping.

Tebas' recent speeches have been strange and a few times uncouth. He recently made an audacious claim that Barcelona youngster Ansu Fati is better than established star and Real Madrid transfer target Kylian Mbappé.
