Lautaro Martinez arrived at Inter in July 2018 from Racing Club, and since then the Italian club has tried to extend the contract of the Argentinian forward. But the player's demands aren't anywhere close to what Inter offers him and that is why the last meetings with his agent has been tough.

Lionel Messi's teammate in the Argentinian national team demands a salary of 7.5 million euros per year while the club offers him a salary of 5 million. The difference is not small: 2.5 million euros, half more of what Inter expects to spend on him. Currently Lautaro Martinez, one of the star players of the team, is earning less money than other 12 players of the squad.

The players who earns more money per year at Inter Milan are Romelu Lukaku and Christian Eriksen, both with a salary of 7.5 million euros. Arturo Vidal earns 6.5 million euros per year; Archaf Hakimi and Perisic earns 5 million. Moreover, Nainggolan, De Vrij, Brozovic, Handanovic, Kolarov, Skriniar and Ashley Young also have bigger salaries than Lautaro Martinez.

Currently Lautaro Martinez' salary is estimated in 2.5 million euros per year. He will be under contract until 2023. Prior to the Champions League match against Shaktar, he was consulted about his future. The forward replied that he doesn't know what will happen. Since his arribal to Inter he has scored 34 goals in 91 games.
