From being the youngest player to make his debut for one of the most traditional football clubs in the German Bundesliga to ending up in prison for trafficking drugs on a large scale. The former footballer born in the former Yugoslavia (now Bosnia) but who represented the German national team in the youth divisions Mustafa Kucukovic was arrested last Wednesday in the German city of Gelsenkirchen.

According to the German media Bild and Hamburger Abendblatt, Kucukovic was arrested along with another implicated along with another 29-year-old man. Both are accused of having bought more than 300 kilos of different types of narcotics between April and May 2020.

Police reports indicated that the former player and his accomplice acquired about 230 kilos of marijuana, about 50 of cocaine and another 30 of hashish, a drug that is also known as chocolate - because of its resemblance to food - and that has similar effects. of those that produce marijuana. After buying the narcotics, they marketed them in large quantities in the city of Hamburg.

German press reports indicated that the police investigated the suspects for a time and it was only a few days ago that an investigating judge issued the arrest and search warrants against them. After this confirmation, the authorities went to look for those implicated to arrest them.

In addition to confirming the large-scale sale of narcotics, the investigators completely searched the detainees' homes and the alleged apartment that served as the organization's bunker, located in the Eimsbüttel district of Hamburg. There they also kidnapped money - some 20,000 euros in cash -, several mobile phones and hundreds of foreign SIM cards.
