Diego Armando Maradona lived an incredible life. He was one of the best soccer players in the world, no to say the best one, and had an incredible influence also away from the pitch. But at the age of 60, the Argentinian legend died on November 25 after suffering several health issues and a heart attack.
Maradona did almost everything that he wanted to during his life. Due to his high purchasing power he could accomplish what he wanted to. One of his most famous anecdotes says that he could even buy a black Ferrari one day, even though those type of cars were not produced in that color.
But a thing that the ex-soccer player couldn’t accomplish even though we wished it too much was meeting Michael Jordan. Maradona said many times that it was his wish to get to know the basketball legend, but at the end the meeting couldn’t occur, and he died.
One of the greatest reasons why Maradona didn’t meet Jordan was that the Argentinian never travelled to the United States. He only did it to play the World Cup 1994, from which he was kicked, and never again went back. As Jordan lives there, the fact to make the reunion without him travelling was very hard to think.
