Michael Jordan might be the best basketball player in history, not only because he won six rings with Chicago Bulls during the 90’s, but because he was a fundamental piece in the popularization of NBA in the last decades of the XX century.

But back when he was still playing, he got to know, respect and even became a fan of one Liga MX team, and now he considers it the best Mexican team. The reason behind it has to do with a player that he got to meet back then.
During the 90’s, Jorge Campos, who is a Pumas UNAM legend, was one of Mexico’s most known players, something that even Michael Jordan said after meeting him during a basketball exhibition game they both played in Mexico City realized by the brand that sponsored both.

The 55-year-old former goalkeeper and forward had a long and successful career, playing for 26 years. Most of his career he played for Pumas, but he also had a stint in MLS, where he played for both LA Galaxy and Chicago Fire. He retired in 2004 after playing for 2 years for Club Puebla.
