There are a lot of international athletes who have experienced bad moments in their personal life’s. Being rich and famous is something that was possible for him thanks to practicing very popular sports, but that also guide some of them to take bad decisions that costed them very expensive.

Many athletes ended up passing some time in jail, after conflicting and unexpected acts. One of the most famous cases of the last year was the one of Ronaldinho, the Brazilian legend who tried to enter to Paraguay with illegal documents and was arrested. He passed some months in prison, where he even continued playing soccer with the team of prisoners, until he paid the bail to leave.

Another top international soccer player who went to jail is Diego Armando Maradona. On April 1991, the Argentine was accused of having drugs in his house in Buenos Aires, and was taken to the Police station, despite he was just a little time there. Something similar happened to him in Barcelona, after a polemic fight in which he was involved.

Another emblematic case is the one of Mike Tyson, who was condemned to 10 years in prison for a sexual felony, but was finally free in 1995. Oscar Pistorius, famous athlete with a prosthetic leg, also went to prison for murdering his wife. The list of athletes who passed some time in jail continue, and we can also mention René Higuita, Carlos Valderrama, Carlos Monzón and more.
