Everton and Brazil forward Richarlison scored a 30 minutes hattrick against Germany in his country's 2020 Tokyo Olympics opening football game to help the defending champions win 4-2

He scored his first and Brazil's first of the game in the seventh minute and added a second in the 22nd minutes before completing his hattrick in the 30th minute to write his name in the history books as the first player playing for a Premier League club to score an Olympics hattrick.

Richarlison also played for Brazil at the just concluded Copa America hosted in Brazil where they lost 1-0 in the final to eventual winners Argentina. He played all seven games, scored a goal, and assisted another at the Copa America.

Brazil is the defending champion of the men's Olympics football. They won the 2016 edition at the Rio Olympics in Brazil having lost the London 2012 Olympics final to Mexico. Richarlison has scored 10 goals in 32 international appearances for Brazil.
