Diego Armando Maradona is the reason for a new tribute, this time from the sportswear brand Le Coq Sportif, with which the Argentine team became world champion in Mexico 86 and which launched a collection called "Legends" on Wednesday. 35 years after the last world title of Argentina, the French brand presented a modernized version of the Argentine jacket with two printed numbers: 86 and 10.

The first one, refers to the year in which said competition was held, and the second one in honour to the number that Diego wore in the tournament where he shone like never before, recalled the Italian agency of ANSA news. The collection is completed with the traditional shorts and socks and will be available from this Wednesday in some official stores of the brand in France, Italy and Spain, in addition to the online stores of the firm.

Le Coq Sportif stopped dressing the Argentine national teams in 1989: since then, and except for a brief period with Reebok (1999-2000), the official albiceleste clothing is Adidas. However, the return of Diego Armando Maradona to Argentine football, motivated the sports company to sponsor Gimnasia de La Plata, nothing more and nothing less than the team he led until his last day of life.

The truth is that almost 4 months after his departure, his figure is getting bigger every day. Since that fateful November 25, the eternal 10 has been honored with countless tributes that he sorely could not enjoy in life, and this joins one of the many tributes that make it very clear what his influence was on world football.
