Lionel Messi made his Paris Saint-Germain debut. In the 16th minute when Ángel Di María sent in a great cross from the right and Kylian Mbappé arrived in the box to head in a goal to make it 1-0 for Mauricio Pochettino's side. When PSG was already beating Reims two-nil with goals from Mbappé. The entire stadium gave the Argentine a standing ovation when he came on in the second half. Messi showed good soccer and shone alongside Mbappé in the Paris forward line. Achraf Hakimi sent a low cross and Mbappé appeared at the far post.

The Argentine came on 20 minutes into the second half, replacing Neymar who looked lacking in soccer and shared the lead with Kylian Mbappé, the scorer of PSG's two goals. Messi watched the first half from the substitutes' bench alongside Leandro Paredes. In the second half, the striker started the warm-up and the crowd burst into applause.

Reims had some scoring chances but could not beat Keylor Navas' goal. It generated danger in the first moments of the game. And he scored a goal that was disallowed by the VAR but otherwise did not trouble the Paris team. In a very physical closing and with almost no space for the construction of associated play, Reims spent their last cartridges but went away with a clean sheet. PSG sealed their victory and have a perfect record so far in the French tournament, with four wins in the same number of matches.

Pochettino's men lead the standings with 12 points and are two points ahead of Angers.

On the next matchday, to be played on September 11 after the international window for the qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, the Parisian team will host Clermont and Messi is expected to make his debut in front of his fans at the Parc des Princes.

With just over 20 minutes, the Argentine had little contact with the ball and on some occasions combined with Kylian Mbappé making the Parisians sigh for this partnership. Lionel Messi's debut overshadowed PSG's victory, who are now more than ever leaders with four wins out of a possible four and now, the only thing left to do is to keep up with the Parisian 'galacticos'.

Mbappé's last game at PSG?

Kylian Mbappé scored both goals as PSG beat Reims in the fourth matchday of the Ligue 1 season. The Parisian player scored a great finish in the box to make it 2-0 at the Auguste-Delaune stadium.

Just when it looked as if the game was going to be difficult for the visitors, Kylian Mbappé came on for Reims to score PSG's second goal in the 63rd minute of stoppage time. Assisted by Achraf Hakimi, the 22-year-old star only had to push the ball past home goalkeeper Predrag Rajković twice. Amid rumors of his departure to Real Madrid and after coach Pochettino denied his departure during the week. The French striker scored two goals and celebrated a new victory with his team. As if that were not enough, Mbappé had the luxury of sharing the last minutes on the pitch with Lionel Messi. Together they proved to get along well with the ball and it is a duo that amazes the soccer world, but, was it Kylian's last game?
