Paolo Sousa has praised Crustiano Roanldo despite coaching Robert Lewandowski at the national level with Poland.

Polish national team coach, Paolo Sousa has given high praise for Cristiano Ronaldo. Sousa, who is also Portuguese, has said that the way Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates his goals is a statement that he is always available and scoring goals. The coach also praised Cristiano Ronaldo's work ethic, revealing that the forward always has food reviews from all his coaches.

Paolo Sousa had played in both the Sporting Lisbon and Portugal National Teams before Cristiano Ronaldo did and he said the player leaves a legacy. According to Sousa: "The feedback I had from his coaches is that even from that age, everything he did was focused on achieving as much as possible.

"I loved his celebration [when Ronaldo ripped his top off after scoring a late winner against Villarreal in the Champions League this season]. The way he commemorates his goals is a statement: ‘I am here."

Paolo Sousa, who coaches Robert Lewandowski at the international level also commented on the mindset of the Bayern Munich striker.

He said: "He is always demanding, to myself and my staff. Any time we are talking about our opponents, showing the analysis and explaining our strategy for the game, he always has questions. He is one of the most clever players I ever coached or played with."
