Pep Guardiola and Zinedine Zidane are not precisely the best friends. And after learning about Guardiola's plan to steal from him, where the Manchester City manager wants to snatch David Alaba's transfer from Real Madrid. Zidane is already plotting his revenge to the former FC Barcelona manager.

And Zizou's way of claiming payback is to make Guardiola regret his own decisions. In 2019, he signed a player who Pep had overlooked at Manchester City for his Real Madrid, and he has been developing greatly. Now Brahim Diaz is on loan at AC Milan and his performances have been great, learning a lot of playing with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

So Zidane's plan is to keep Diaz next season, and not loan him again nor sell him. He will choose to fully trust the Spanish 21-year-old midfielder, and make him become a world class player, like he had done with Luka Modric and Isco in his current squad, good player who became great under him.

If David Alaba ends up rejecting Real Madrid and signing for Manchester City, Zidane will not be upset at the rivalry because he has a response prepared. If he does not, it does not matter because the French manager will find his squad even more strengthened anyway.
