Xavi, the FC Barcelona legend who is one step away from leading this top team in Europe and take Lionel Messi

Xavi Hernández has made an incredible professional career. The Spanish midfielder was formed in FC Barcelona and played all his life in the Catalan side, until on July 2015 he left to Al-Sadd FC. After four years in the Qatari team he ended his career and announced his retirement.

But the World champion stayed in the club and started working as a manager. Everything started on July 2019, and he is expected to stay until June 2021. During the last hours, ex-soccer player Gabi talked and said that his compatriot was ready to manage a top team soon.

According to the words of Gabi, Xavi is ready to manage Barça and it is very likely to that happen soon. Barcelona is looking for a coach that can stay long in the position since a while, but never found it. For being an ex-player, who passed 20 years at the club, he could be a good option.

The decision of signing Xavi as a coach may be related to the future of Lionel Messi. The Argentinian star hasn’t yet defined his future but if a president that he likes to win the elections, plus a coach as Xavi is signed, he may be thinking on staying after all.
