Ezequiel Barco was excepted to be Gonzalo Martínez natural replace, after his transfer to Saudi Arabian Al-Nassr for $15 million. Nevertheless, lost the last four games of his team and his absence led to all type of speculations between the fans. His last time officially in the field was on September 13 in Week 7 of the MLS.

Atlanta United didn't miss him in the last weekend, as they defeated 4-0 DC United at Audi Field. To end the rumors coach Stephen Glass broke the silence and talk about Barco's situation saying that he is just injured, but he will be playing for the team for the rest of the season, when he recovers.

Barco joined Atlanta United in 2018, when the club paid almost $13 million for his to his former club Independiente. Aged 21 he is supposed to be one of the Argentinian best youth talent, but have not yet exploited in the MLS. This season he played 10 of the 15 games of the season, scoring just two goals.

As the mystery continues on with his situation, Glass clarified that nothing sinister is going on with him.
