Paulo Dybala arrived at Juventus in 2015, when the Turin club paid 40 million euros for the signing of the Argentine. Six years later, Dybala is still a Juve player, but his contract expires in 2022, that is, next summer he will be free. Therefore, the renewal of the Argentine is one of Juventus' priorities in this summer market. Keeping Dybala in the team and signing Locatelli are the two short-term goals for the Turin club's board of directors.

However, why is the Argentine still not renewing? Both parties, both club and player, have met to clarify the situation and extend their contract together. Both agree that the new contract will last until 2025, and also share the opinion on the salary. Paulo Dybala will receive 10 million annually.

Therefore, the problem is neither in the duration of the contract nor in the player's salary. According to ‘Calcio Mercato’, the problem is in the clause. Juventus does not want to impose a clause in the contract and, if it did, it would not be less than 70 million euros. However, Dybala's representative demands that the clause be 50 million euros.

According to the Italian media, new meetings will take place this week. The priority of both is to clarify the situation and that the contract that unites them is extended. However, for this to happen, one of the two parties will have to loosen on the subject of the clause.
