The main novelty of the meeting was the goal converted by one of the new jewels of the lower divisions of the institution: Cole Palmer. This talented 19-year-old left-handed playmaker entered at 65 minutes and just two minutes later, in his first intervention, he was dispatched with a well-placed and unapproachable goal for the rival goalkeeper.

Palmer had already made his debut in the last edition of the Champions League playing 8 minutes in a match with a 3-0 victory against Olympique de Marseille. Today's was his second presentation in the competition and he already scored his first goal for the enthusiasm of the Cityzens fans.

Pep Guardiola's team win was completed by Joao Cancelo, Kyle Walker and Riyad Mahrez in duplicate; while Hans Vanaken discounted for the Bruges. In this way, and waiting for what happens between PSG and Leipzig, Manchester City leads its group, and is marching steadily, facing the new instance of the competition.
