Chivas was once a club in which every single player from Mexico wanted to go to. But things change nowadays and those who have chances to go and play in the Rebaño Sagrado many times reject the opportunity. The bad results and the constant problems off the pitch are the reasons of this kind of actions.
Jesus Gallardo, the 26 years old defender from Monterrey, said that is Chivas looked after him right now he wouldn’t go to that team. He said that he loves Monterrey, he is very happy where he is right now and there are no reasons why a move to that Mexican side could be good for him.
Gallardo is the type of defender that Víctor Vucetich may be needing at Chivas, even though the bigger problems are those in attack. He was formed at Jaguares and afterward joined Pumas as a youth. After making his debut and with two years with the first team of the Universitarios, he left to Monterrey for $6 million.
All the problems that Chivas had during the last’s seasons make that players now don’t have the desire to play in that club. Spot adviser Ricardo Peláez and also coach Vucetich are working hard trying to change this fame and take the huge club back where to it is set to be.
