If we left out the World Cup of 1930 where USA end up on the third position, the longest the team has ever gotten is quarter finals, but this will change in the next competitions.

There is one reason to believe that USMNT would be a strong team for the next competitions, actually there are eleven. There are at least eleven American players in Europe and Gregg Berhalter can sent to the pitch an entire team without a single player of the MLS.

Why is that good? Because the level of the Major League Soccer is improving, coaches and teams are getting better and more professional. Besides, there are several players going to play in the big leagues in Europe, that says a lot of the league and the way the players develop here and become material for the best teams in the world.

Let’s see this team, Zack Steffen would be the goalkeeper, the 25-year-old Manchester City player. There would be four defenders, almost everyone a young talent. Sergino Dest, from FC Barcelona, John Brooks from Wolfburg, Chris Richards from Bayern Munich and Antonee Robinson from Fulham.

The rest of the team is even better. Every player is 23 or less. We have three midfielders Gio Reyna from Borussia Dormund, Weston McKennie from Shalke 04 and Tyler Adams from RB Leipzig. The front-line would be Tim Weah from Lille, Josh Sargent the Werder Bremen striker and finally Christian Pulisic the new Chelsea’s number 10.
