After more than a year at LA Galaxy, Cristian Pavón should be going back to Boca Juniors on December 2020. The Argentinian was loaned at the MLS side and the contract will finish soon. Both clubs agreed to set a purchase option when the loan was made of $20 million, but LA Galaxy consider it too expensive.

Boca Juniors isn’t very enthusiastic on recovering the forward, so the chances for him to stay are high. Now, the sport advisers from both clubs are negotiating so that he can stay for a less amount of money than the one they set more than a year ago, before the COVID-19 pandemic and the world crisis.

Pavón was formed at Talleres and Boca bought him for $4 million on July 2014. He was loaned first at Colon and then at LA Galaxy, this second time for $2 million. With a reported value of $17 million, clubs are now negotiating, but Boca is interested on selling him for $15 million, instead of $20.

The arrival of Pavón was asked by head coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto, who was previously the trainer of Boca as well. Barros Schelotto finally left, but the club still wants to count on the attacker. At the club, he played 35 games, scoring 14 goals and giving nine assists, good cumbers for a first season.
