Seattle Sounders had received bad news about the positive Covid of its star player Ruidiaz since if the protocol of FIFA plus that of the MLS were complied with, Ruidiaz would have to be in quarantine for almost 25 days, luckily for the Seattle Sounders, the MLS would make a exception and would allow him to return to training as soon as he returns to Seattle.

October 27 would be the estimated date for Ruidiaz's return to Seattle Sounders training sessions and games. This is good news for the MLS club as they initially thought they wouldn't be able to use the player until November 15. Ruidiaz is very important for the Seattle Sounders to achieve the goal of staying with the MLS Cup.

Ruidiaz had traveled with the Peruvian national team to play the two games of the CONMEBOL qualifying rounds but he could only play the first one against Paraguay as it was later confirmed with the Covid virus. Ruidiaz and 3 other players from the Peruvian team could not play the match against Brazil.

Seattle Sounders together with Toronto FC are the two teams to win the MLS Cup. Currently the Seattle team is in the first position of the MLS Western Conference. Raul Ruidiaz has 9 goals scored in 14 MLS games and is one of the candidates to win the MLS MVP award.
