Monterrey decided big chances during the last weeks, after the elimination on tournament Guard1anes against Puebla. Antonio Mohamed decided to resign just after the defeat, and sport advisers from the club are already working to try to find his replacement.

One of the trainers that could arrive to the Liga MX side is Matías Almeyda. The coach is actually at San Jose Earthquakes, but has been seduced by the chance to return to Mexican soccer. He didn’t complete a very good season at the MLS, fact that make his departure possible.

As Juanfutbol reported, Almeyda asked two players as a condition to arrive to Monterrey: Alan Pulido and Rodolfo Pizarro. Both Mexicans were at Chivas when he was the coach and helped him obtain some great achievements and many titles. The good memories make him think on them once again.

If Monterrey want to fulfill the wish of Almeyda, they will have to spend a fortune. Pizarro is currently playing at Inter Miami, and he left Monterrey just nine months ago for $11 million. Pulido arrive to Sporting Kansas City from Chivas for $9 million. With the players perfectly adapted to the MLS, we may think that they won’t be leaving for less than $20 million.
