Since José Antonio Marín and Víctor Velázquez took over the Cooperativa Cruz Azul, a war of accusations between the new administration and former president Guillermo Billy Álvarez has been unleashed. This time, talking to the media, Marín revealed a dark secret about how the youth academy of the club was run.

José Antonio Marín said that during Guillermo Álvarez' years, coaches of the young divisions of Cruz Azul used to asked the young players to pay them in order to take part in games. This means, not only that there was corruption within the club, but also that many young talents were missed do to this praxis.

Marín added that the first thing he and his colleagues plan to do in the next days is to hire an Academy Director that can oversee the work of all the youth coaches, so that non of the keep getting payments from young standouts. Although his name haven't been revealed yet, the club sporting new director will be Jaime Ordiales.

Finally, José Antonio Marín added that the club has been let down during the last time, and the structure of the club needs to be reconstructed. Specially, the Female team and the youth divisions has been having structural problems that needs to be solved quickly by the sporting director.
