José Juan Macías didn’t have his best moment during the regular season. Chivas ended seventh on the tournament Guard1anes, after earning 26 points on 17 matches played and couldn’t make it to the top four teams of the Liga MX. Now they’ll be facing Necaxa during the playoffs.

Macías played 15 matches during this campaign and scored five goals. Fans criticized him almost in every appearance, after they considered that he was not at his best level. But head coach Víctor Vucetich is sure that the attacker is a great player and that the problems that he has been facing and psychological.

Both Vucetich and sport adviser Ricardo Peláez considered that Macías is not transferable for now. The forward is actually the most expensive player from the Liga MX, according to specialized website Tranfermarkt, that valuates him at $10.5 million. Carlos Rodríguez (Monterrey) and Brian Lozano (Santos Laguna) follow him on the list.

Macías was formed at Chivas and left the club just once, when he went on a loan to León. Vucetich will continue trusting on him, will give him the chance to play and will wait until he recovers his level and gets back to his best form. On the past, teams such as Borussia Dortmund or Lille put an eye on him.
