After a life in Chivas, Javier Eduardo López, commonly known as La Chofis, could leave the club. Sport adviser Ricardo Peláez could end his contract, as the same that he could be doing with the one of those players who committed undisciplined acts, and his future may be at the MLS.

Chofis was offered by Chivas to several clubs in Liga MX, including Pachuca, but all of them refused the sign. His contract with the club ends on June 2022, but there are some chances of him leaving for free. If that happens, then Chivas would be losing not only a player but the chance of earning some money for a sale.

If finally, Chivas decides to sell him and waits for an offer, we must expect that any team who want to count on him could by paying something like $3 million. The contract that he actually signed with Chivas has an option of extension of a year, both for the player and the club.

Chofis played just nine games during the season for Chivas, entering from the bench in the majority of them. If he leaves, there is a club willing to sign him at MLS: Nashville SC. Even though it is not the only MLS side interested, it is the one who rumors set that he will be moving to.
