Manchester Derby is one of the most interesting Derby in the world and people look forward to the match. The clubs gains a lot of money in terms of ticket sales.

Old Trafford do have an average attendance of 57,942 for their home game and this could be more for derbies. With an average match day ticket of £233, an average match day revenue from ticket sales will be around £17.05m which is actually the highest in England.

On a Derby day the price will definitely increase considering the number of home fans that will be in attendance with the rival fans that will be visiting to cheer their team, especially in the Manchester Derby. The match day revenue should be around £18 million to £20 million.

Last two weeks when Manchester United hosted Liverpool which is a clash of arch rivals, the home fans were seen leaving the stadium before the end of the first half when Manchester United were getting trashed 4-0, in a match that ended 5-0. This could affect the turn up of fans to the stadium today and indirectly affect match day revenue.
