The whole Bundesliga got surprised when this young kid emerged and showed his quality. He plays as an attacking midfielder and is already considered a new Thomas Muller, given how easily he scores coming from behind the main striker. He and Youssufa Moukoko are the future of German soccer.

And at just 17 years old, he already has FC Barcelona in his mind. Recently, he told the German paper Sport Bild that he dreams of playing for the Catalan side in the future and with the quality-age ratio he is showing, he will be having many top European clubs coming for him, including of course the Cules.

This player is Florian Wirtz, who plays for Bayer Leverkusen, a team that made stars of players like Toni Kroos, Arturo Vidal or Heung-Min Son. Chicharito Hernandez is another player who shone there. Considering the players in that position like Antoine Griezmann and Philippe Coutinho are not performing as expected, Ronald Koeman will have in mind someone like him, young and willing to learn.

At his short age, Wirtz earned the starter spot and kept it definitely. He has a contract until 2023, so he will have to be convinced of not extending it so he can be bought cheaper. Surely, if he knows that FC Barcelona is after him, he will be more than willing to negotiate to the team he loves.
