In these tough times, FC Barcelona do not depend solely on themselves, they also need external results to be concreted. Tomorrow they will face Levante at Camp Nou, and FC Barcelona need to win to get close to European places. They are currently sitting at the ninth spot after ten matches.

About this matchweek, before the derby between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, Ronald Koeman was asked who wanted him to win that match. Koeman replied that the Barcelona's match of Sunday was more important but looking at the standings, it was best for Atletico to lose, implying he cheered Real Madrid today.

Atletico Madrid finally lost the match and is currently stands at the top of the league, but if Real Sociedad wins tomorrow, will take the first place. Real Madrid stands third with only three points less than its neighbour, and wants to claim that place after some turbulent times that could have costed Zinedine Zidane his job.

Barcelona is still too far away, nine points behind Real Madrid and 12 behind Atletico. That is why the match against Levante is so important, because the three points are highly needed to keep up with them. If FC Barcelona fails to win, it may mean the end of the hopes for the club this season.
