The first controversial situation was lived after River Plate’s tie. After Rafael Santos Borré scored the goal, he celebrated by putting the ball inside his shirt in demonstration of his future fatherhood. At the end of the celebration, he kicked the ball hard towards the Sao Paulo substitute bench and hit a substitute player. Under the gaze of the linesman, the situation did not pass to greater and the Colombian apologized.

Then, at the end of the first half, another particular situation was experienced. The match referee marked dropped ball and the players for that situation were Borré for River Plate and Tché Tché for Sao Paulo. When referee Ostojich blew the whistle, Tché Tché did not touch the ball and Borré went to the rival goal.

According to the regulations, once the ball touched the ground, Borré could already touch the ball. But at the end of the first half, all the Sao Paulo players went to criticize both situations of the Colombian forward who quickly ignored the situation despite the fact that all the Brazilian players were angry
