PSG: the scandal that worries Mauricio Pochettino and Neymar and could make them lose millions

For the first time in many years, Paris Saint-Germain is having trouble at Ligue 1. The Parisian side, that is used to gain the local competition by a long distance, was defeated by Lorient this Sunday and their chances to win the title have now been reduced. The problem smashed head coach Mauricio Pochettino, who has just arrived to the club.

Surprisingly, after 22 weeks played, Lille occupies the first position with 48 points, while Olympique Lyon stands second with 46 points and PSG is in the third position with 45 points. So far this campaign, they’ve lost five games, which means their biggest number of defeats since the 2012/13 season.

The problem worries not only Pochettino but also Neymar and the other superstars from the first team. The contracts of those type of players stipulate big bonuses if they gain titles, and losing one that is not so complicated as the French league would be a nightmare for them.

Nevertheless, the great objective of Pochettino since his arrival is to win the Champions League title with PSG for the first time ever, the reason why he was hired. To accomplish that objective, they will be facing FC Barcelona on Round of 16 (February 16 and March 3).
