Paris Saint-Germain today launched a new third kit on their official website in honour of the outstanding team that they have built over the summer. The new kit is a black-themed shirt with heavy shades of grey also. The kit is more similar to the deep-coloured jerseys that the Paris club used in the 1990s. The new PSG third kit also pats tributes to the Paris Saint-Germain fans, with several Paris area postcode numbers embedded on many of the merchandise items.

Paris Saint-German has had a very impressive summer transfer window, bringing in some of the biggest names, most experienced players and promising stars to the squad. Achraf Hakimi joined Inter Milan as well as Danilo Pereira from FC Porto. The Parisians also secured the free transfers of Sergio Ramos,  Gini Wijnaldum and Gigi Donnarumma from Real Madrid, Liverpool and AC Milan respectively.

Then the biggest deal of the summer was also secured by PSG as they successfully landed Lionel Messi from FC Barcelona on a free transfer. Signing just one of these players would have been a success but to sign 5 of them in just one transfer window is nothing short of out-of-this-world. PSG paid tributes to all these new signings by using them as the models for the new kit. Hakimi, Messi and Ramos were joined by Neymar, Mbappe and di Maria on the official artwork of the PSG new third kit.

Nike also revealed that in their quest to reduce their carbon footprints, they have continued using Recycled Polyester for their jerseys instead of Virgin Polyester. The kit manufacturer also revealed that the 2021/22 Paris Saint-German Third kit can be purchased on the official Nike and PSG websites. It is expected to be in shops and on full retail from September 17.
