Hansi Flick rises in full on the Barcelona stock market to occupy the bench of the Barça first team for next season. The German has been the coach of Bayern Munich during the season that is ending, but he will leave the position at the conclusion. The reason's that he's the one chosen by the German federation to replace Joachim Low as coach once the Eurocup is over.

That's the big problem that Laporta faces to convince Flick to land at the Camp Nou. It would not be a contractual problem since there's no signed document, according to Rac1. The problem's that the coach already had a commitment with the national team that he reached just a few weeks ago and now he would have to break. And this is the situation at the moment.

Flick's the alternative because the other names that have been considered will not come to Barcelona. Despite all that has been said about Xavi Hernández, there is currently no option for him to coach Barcelona next season. Laporta has never considered this option. Xavi was the great electoral asset of Víctor Font, but the current president believes that this isn't the time to put him on the bench considering that he wants to renew the squad that includes the sacred cows. And Xavi was their companion for many years.

The Ten Hag option is very complicated also because the Dutchman has recently renewed. Nor would it make much sense to remove a Dutch coach to put another. At this time the option of the Ajax coach isn't contemplated. Nor that of Klopp, who is a coach that Laporta likes a lot, but has a current contract with Liverpool. With their current economic situation, Barcelona cannot pay anything to bring in a coach.

And meanwhile, Koeman's still waiting to be told something. The current coach isn't totally ruled out, but his continuity seems linked to Laporta not reaching an agreement with any of the previously mentioned options. There could be a cover, but there is little time to activate an option other than one of those previously mentioned.
