Napoli's fans are tired with Gattuso benching Chucky Lozano and demands that one of the coach's favorites doesn't play anymore

Napoli played bad and was able to beat Croatian Rijeka by just one goal on a 1-2 triumph away. The most dangerous thing about this is that Napoli started losing and had to effort way more than planned to get three points much needed. Hirving Lozano was benched and sent to the field in the final minutes. The fans are losing their patience with Gennaro Gattuso.

It's clear that Gattuso is the kind of coach that have favorites within the team. He defends the older players of the squad, like Lorenzo Insigne and Dries Mertens, although none of them are having a good season. He is also fan of Italian players, which is the only reason that justify Andrea Petagna and Giovanni Di Lorenzo's predominance in the team.

Fans are done with Petagna, a player that is slow and coming out of a season where he played for a team that was relegated to Serie B. They are also not happy with Mertens. Of course, it's not easy to bench the Napoli's all-time top scorer. But Mertens clearly needs a change: go to the bench or change of club.

Meanwhile, Hirving Lozano, who is one of the team top scorers of the season, stayed in the bench while Matteo Politano, another Italian who is one of the coach's chosen. The same happens with Victor Oshimhen, the Nigerian striker who arrived to Napoli in exchange for 70 million dollars. Although he is not having a good season, Oshimhen is clearly better than Petagna. But Gattuso's favorites are stronger, according to the coach.
