Liverpool is one of the four teams to have qualified for the knockout stages of this 2021/22 UEFA Champions League after winning their first four games in group B, a group that also contains Atletico Madrid (who they have beaten twice), Porto and AC Milan.

Jurgen Klopp's men are the first to be confirmed group leaders after setting up an unassailable lead over Porto who are second in the group with five points. Liverpool won't rest on their laurels now as winning the remaining two group games guarantees more revenue.

Liverpool have already earbed £31m after four games £13.26m for group stage participation, £8.14m for qualifying to the knockout stage and £9.48 for winning four games, a win bonus of £2.37m is awarded per match. Liverpool could earn another £4.74m if they win their remaining two games.

Jürgen Klopp was asked if he would rest his important players for the final two games but he said: “You know, you earn a lot of money if you win Champions League games,” he said, with £9.49 million already accrued from the four wins. Not me personally, it’s just for the club it’s important. So that’s what we will do."
