Iker Casillas confirmed he has broken with Sara Carbonero

Sara Carbonero's emergency medical intervention in mid-February was only a parenthesis in the relationship between the television presenter and the ex Real Madrid´s goalkeeper, Iker Casillas, since by then the symbolic couple of Spain of the 2010 World Cup, is already separated.  What's more, they had even been living apart for some time, despite the fact that they have recently been seen together.

According to the information from the magazine ‘Lecturas’, the former captain of the Spanish team, and Sara Caronero, have finally decided to put an end to their common story. The couple, who have been together for more than a decade, have been married since 2016 and have two children, would be separated from before the relapse suffered by Carbonero from the ovarian cancer that afflicts her, and which led her to be admitted urgently to a clinic in Spain.

Sara avoided going into details this morning when she was asked about the rumors of his separation with Iker Casillas. "I'm not going to say anything", she limited himself to saying, and then answering how everything is going between them: "Yes, very well, thank you", Carbonero answer.

On the other hand, the magazine 'Hola' points out that "Sara and Iker continue with their lives, oblivious to the information that is published about them, they prefer to stay out of the recurring back and forth who question their stability and their future in common". Rumors of the couple's crisis emerged for months. Even in August of last year, Iker Casillas himself acknowledged that "he had not been as long as he should have with Sara". 

Stones in the way, that held them together

The myocardial infarction suffered by the exporter in May 2019, as well as the cancer that Carbonero was diagnosed with that same year, was a tough test for both. The history of Iker Casillas and Sara Carbonero began several years ago, but it was consolidated in the heart of the soccer lover after that celebration in the World Cup obtained by Spain in South Africa 2010, the same one that brought them together in an interview that the former goalkeeper culminated in kissing his now wife.
