His transfer to FC Barcelona will cost millions... to Manchester United

It has been a tough moment of the season. There is a match every three days, players have no rest and the back ups get more and more necessary. That is why FC Barcelona are negotiating to sign this player who is tearing up Ligue 1, but that means bad news for Manchester United because they will have a financial loss because of this.

The player is Memphis Depay, a skilled Dutch forward who currently plays for Lyon and after his arrival, he quickly set himself as one of the best players in the team. After reaching the semifinals in the last UEFA Champions League, FC Barcelona started talks with his agent, who told Depay not to renew his contract and move to Spain as a free agent.

But why will be Manchester United losing money? Because when Depay was signed by Lyon from the English club, it was pacted that the Red Devils were going to catch the 60% of his future sale, expecting to get an amount near 20 million euro. But this is a free transfer, what means Manchester United will not even get a cent.

Depay is going through his fifth season with Lyon, where he played 150 matches and scored 30 goals. At Manchester United, he had a disappointing stint, where he scored only twice in 33 matches. For Netherlands though, he permformed much better: Scored 21 goals in 59 matches, one of them at 2014 World Cup.
