FC Barcelona signed him to replace Gerard Pique, but had attitude problems and his own agent destroyed him

Playing at FC Barcelona is not for everybody. Surely, a special level of skills is needed to be considered at such a huge scene, but a big sense of professionality and wanting to improve are mental elements that are also needed. And the agent of this player talked about how less skilled players did better than him due to his attitude.

When this young defender joined the club, he was expected to take the place of Gerard Pique when he was not around anymore. But he not only did not perform: he was loaned out to Benfica, but the new club wanted to give him back and FC Barcelona refused. Nobody wants him, not even his agent.

That player is Jean-Clair Todibo. The agent who took him from Schalke 04 to Spain said that the French failed in La Liga because he lacks humility. The former defender Eric Abidal gave him advice, but he never listened. The club trusted him, but he was already thinking of himself as a star.

He also added that Todibo has everything to be a great player, except having his mind in the right place. He must be willing to learn new things and not be entitled. And the people close to him are not helping, so he still does not understand how he must behave in a team at top level.
