FC Barcelona continues planning the 2021-22 season not only in terms of signings. It also takes care of other details, such as clothing. In fact, in the last hours the shirt that the Catalans will use in the next Champions League has been leaked. It is a groundbreaking design inspired by the neighborhoods of Barcelona that has divided fans on social networks.

Some were delighted, others cannot see it. It has been ‘Footyheadlines’, the famous portal that anticipates the jerseys of the great clubs in Europe, which has revealed what the ‘skin’ that Barcelona will use will be like when they face Champions League matches at the Camp Nou. The design of the Cross of Sant Jordi, presented in the middle of the week, would be only for LaLiga. As the images show, the new Barcelona shirt is characterized by having prints on both the pink stripes and the blue part. The design was inspired by the different neighborhoods of the Catalan capital and as usual it wears a senyera on the neck, as well as black borders on the sleeves.

Of course, the shirt is not yet for sale as it has not been officially presented by the Barça club. However, it is expected that its value will be the same as the main one, starting at 90 euros, and it will be on the market in the coming weeks.

On the other hand, FC Barcelona celebrates having already exceeded 400 million followers on social networks, adding their official profiles on its different digital channels, according to the Barça entity on Friday. Facebook is the platform that accumulates the most Barça followers, with a total of 136 million, followed more closely by Instagram (118) and Twitter (71). These figures add up to the ‘followers’ of the main channels, but also those of Barça in areas such as women's football, professional sections, grassroots football, the Foundation or the Barça Academy. And all content channels in different languages are also counted, 8 in the case of Twitter. It also highlights the figure of 33 million followers on Line, a channel with a lot of implantation in Asia; the almost 12 million on YouTube or the 9 million on TikTok.
