Does the financial Fair Play not exist for PSG?

While many European clubs have problems signing and maintaining salaries, at PSG they do not stop throwing the house out the window.

While many European clubs have problems signing and maintaining salaries, at PSG they do not stop throwing the house out the window.

Wijnaldum, Donnarumma, Achraf and Sergio Ramos are the latest signings confirmed by Paris Saint Germain. Of those, three will receive more than 10 million euros net per season. Sergio, with 15, is the one with the highest salary, followed by the Italian goalkeeper (12) and the Dutch midfielder (10).

This is in addition to the already inflated salaries of the rest of the players. Neymar, with 30 net, is the leader of the squad, followed by Mbappé (20) and Marquinhos and Verrati, both with 15. Now, Pogba, Koulibaly and Camavinga are playing, all charging more than 10 million per year, too. Where is the financial Fair Play for PSG?

UEFA recently relaxed measures and clubs like PSG, City or Chelsea will be able to inject millions based on new sponsorships from friendly companies, and thus be able to go to the market with their wallets full and paying salaries that nobody else can pay in the old continent. While teams like Real Madrid or Barcelona have to adjust the belt to the limit (Barcelona still don't know how to pay what Messi asks for), the rest of the clubs with big companies behind them do whatever they want.

One wonders where the French team gets the money, which last season could not even win Ligue 1, despite having all the stars it has. Having fallen in the semi-finals of the Champions League did not affect him either. Although his recent signings have been at cost 0, the salary mass, which already exceeded 230 million a year, does not stop increasing, already touching 300 kilos and with more signings waiting at the door.
