Thomas Tuchel took over at Chelsea in January 2021 after club legend Frank Lampard was sacked due to poor run of results. In his first press conference as Chelsea boss, he said "we want to build a team that no one wants to play against." Fast forward to eight months later, one could say he has done it.
He led Chelsea to two trophies already in nine months which could have been three had he won the FA Cup which Chelsea narrowly lost to Leicester City. He won the UEFA Champions League beating Pep Guardiola's Manchester City and also won the UEFA Super Cup beating Villarreal 7-6 on penalties.
He began his first full season and his mantle was to haunt down Manchester City and Liverpool who have dominated the league in recent years and if the teams progress so far is anything to go by, he has once again justify his words again and made Chelsea the best team in the league, he has the numbers to back it up and prove that Chelsea are better than others.
Chelsea are top of the Premier League table after nine games, they have won seven games, drawn one to Liverpool and lost another one to Manchester City. They are four points clear at the top of the table. They have scored the most goals (23) and conceded the fewest goals (3) and have not conceded from open play this season.
