The Parisian side made a new movement in their way to convince the Argentinian legend.

The future of Lionel Messi is now closer to being defined. The Argentinian legend expressed during 2020 that he wanted to leave FC Barcelona for the first time in more than 20 years, but ex-president Josep María Bartomeu denied him that chance. With his contract expiring in less than four months, and with Bartomeu out, Messi will have now the final word.

At the Catalan side they are already working hard to convince him to stay. Despite the financial crisis, Barça still offers Messi the chance to be the best paid player on the world and the arrival of some top signings, that could come for free, as his friend Sergio Aguero (Manchester City), Eric García (Manchester City) or Memphis Depay (Olympique Lyon).

But Paris Saint-Germain is also making their work to sign Messi, what would mean an historical transfer. President Nasser Al-Khelaifi wants to make him the best paid player ever and head coach Mauricio Pochettino is doing the work to convince him, aside his friends from the squad as Neymar, Ángel Di María or Leandro Paredes.

During the last hours, France Football, one of the most prestigious magazines in the soccer world, show in their cover Messi wearing the jersey of PSG. That would be the last movement to install the great chances of the transfer being concreted, that generated indignation in Barcelona.
