The Argentine soccer team was much closer to the goal of qualifying for the Qatar 2022 World Cup tonight, defeating Uruguay's counterpart 1-0 as a visitor, in a match belonging to the grid of the thirteenth date of the continental classification.

The match was played at the Campeón del Siglo stadium, of the Peñarol club, in Montevideo, and with this triumph, the representative from Albiceleste, undefeated in the tie, reached 28 units in the table, only surpassed by Brazil, which already qualified for Qatar 2022 and meets 34.

A shot from outside the box by Angel Di María, gave the victory to those led by coach Lionel Scaloni, in an even game with lackluster development.

Lionel Messi, affected by a discomfort in one of his knees, barely acted for 15 minutes to arrive in optimal condition for Tuesday's match against Brazil, at the San Juan Bicentennial Stadium. More effectively than on other nights, the DT Scaloni team invoiced in one of the few it had and took a victory that brings it closer and closer to the goal.
